After the stockings had been hung by the chimley with care,
Our mother would unwrap our greatgrandmother Zelma's the cube house
With hopes of no creatures munching
'Nor stirring amoung the pink icing and sugar cubes
Our mother would unwrap our greatgrandmother Zelma's the cube house
With hopes of no creatures munching
'Nor stirring amoung the pink icing and sugar cubes
My sister and I would sing with glee
When another year had passed with out any traces of mouse pee!
At last, one Christmas to our surprize,
When our mother unwrapped the foam from Zelma's home,
to only find one little beedy eyed,
mouse had dined
on the pink icing and sugar cubes.
Over the years we have tried to re-create the delicate pink one story
home which dazzled our little eyes with such glory.
home which dazzled our little eyes with such glory.
We had all but given up,
until this year when my mother showed up.
until this year when my mother showed up.
She came bearing all of the tools needed,
to finish a sugar cube home just in time for the season!
It's a little uneven,
but hopefully it will spark a little twinkle,
and keep my boys a believing'
in the magic of the Season!

How could I forget about the original cube home!?! Yours is very um...cute...
Don't be mad, k?
it is nice, really it is, it just isn't the same without pink frosting and Pete tongue marks.
I loved your poem and that you did this for Lane and Kaid.
I am urging you to update.
If that doesn't work then I will start a comment campaign. If that doesn't work I will sick Dad on you. If still no progress then I will find out your password and update your blog with embarassing pictures of you! In the grand words of your mother, "that's a promise not a threat!". To make it easier here is a list of what I would like to see...
-pictures of Kaid because he is fantastic.
-pictures of Lane because he is super.
-pictures of your four-legged children.
-pictures of you and David because I love to see your smiling faces.
-stories of mischief from any of the above.
-insights on the great wonder of celtic based novels.
ok? ok!
